Jay Oscar Tanner, 54, Jay, OK, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in Joplin, Mo. Jay was born in Yreka, CA on February 15, 1957 to Ginny Blanch (Roney) and Buck Haywood Tanner.

Jay worked as a construction worker for several years. Jay enjoyed fishing, carpentry, playing his guitar and was an avid computer user. He used his computer to keep in touch with the people he cared about.

Jay is survived by three sisters; Dena Cook of Grove, OK, Jayne Hamelton of Grove, OK, Rozann Teehee of Grove, OK, two brothers; Earl Tanner of Yreka, CA and Jimmy Tanner also of Yreka, CA. Jay is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 12P.M. to 5 P.M. at Grand Lake Funeral Home in Grove, OK. Chapel Service will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grand Lake Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, OK, with Lonnie Sanders officiating.
